A circuit of several ancient trees of a wide selection of species, with top billing to the several hundred years old yew in Ibstone churchyard and the younger yew forest on Watlington Hill, 2000ft ascent. Thursday 3rd July 10:30, 6.7 miles: Enjoy the Hambleden Valley without the steep climbs!! Only 850 feet of elevation. From the car park at the rear of the Stag & Huntsman, (NOTE: £3.00 - £4.00 car park charge), we walk through the village, cross over the road and head towards the Great Wood through open land and forest. As we walk through the Jubilee Plantation we come across Luxters Farm, a winery and Brewery where we can stop for our banana break. We walk down into the valley, enjoying fabulous views as we go, and then cross the road towards Pheasants Hill. Saturday 5th July 14:00, 7.3 miles: Chiltern views on a hilly walk from Christmas Common, passing through woodland, fields with livestock, and skirting the walled garden of the Wormsley Estate. Sunday 6th July 10:00, 6 miles: Hurley circular walk via Berkshire College of Agriculture. A pleasant walk that will explore Hurley Abbey, the Thames and the village High Street before getting up Prospect Hill and High Wood towards the Berkshire College of Agriculture. Saturday 19th July 11:00, 9 miles: Walk the Regents Canal: another chance to follow this fascinating walk across London along the historic canal, missing out the congestion, crowds and noise you'd normally associate with one of the world's busiest cities. Starting from Paddington Station, the route takes in Little Venice, Regents Park and London Zoo, Camden Lock, Kings Cross, Islington, Wenlock Basin and Victoria Park, before arriving at Limehouse Basin.
