Thursday 1st November 10:15, 6 miles: A brisk walk through the delights of Bracknell Forest. Taking in Gravel Hill, Windsor Ride, Olddean Common and Surrey Hill. Start: SU876661 Discovery Centre. Sunday 4th November 10:00, 6 miles: A pleasant walk west of Reading encompassing Stanford Dingley, Rotten Row and Bradfield. Part of the walk is along the river Pang. Saturday 17th November: Ramblers Berkshire Area AGM, hosted by the Mid Berks Group at 2pm at Mortimer West End Village Hall, Church Road, Mortimer West End, RG7 2HZ. There will be the choice of a 4-mile or a 6-mile walk from the Hall at 10:30am. After the meeting (at about 3pm), John Oversby (Chair of Mid Berks) will give a talk entitled “Air Quality – Does it need improving. Even for Ramblers?”

Thursday 22nd November 10:30, 4½ miles: A mainly flat walk with no stiles, and possible sightings of alpacas, guinea fowl, etc. Start: SU702815 Rotherfield Peppard cricket club, Stoke Row Road. Parking at cross-roads almost opposite Peppard Stores and at cricket club. More parking at The Unicorn pub, 100 yards further on, on the right, if taking lunch there. RG9 5LX (nearest). Thursday 22nd November 10:30, 6 miles: Winter Hill, Marlow and Bourne End. Starting at the Spade Oak we cross the river and Cock Marsh to ascend Winter Hill, a short but steep climb worth it for the view. Tuesday 27th November 10:00, 12½ miles: Mouth of the Loddon. How can you resist these familiar places approached from unusual directions? Flat walk from Woodley through Charvil and Borough Marsh to Wargrave then back round Ruscombe, Twyford and Whistley Green. Thursday 29th November 10:30, 6.3 miles: A gentle walk around Hartley Wintney, Winchfield and West Green. Walking over fields and gently undulating terrain. Thursday 6th December 10:30, 4 miles: Historic Reading - The Three Rivers Walk takes in the history of central Reading away from the Christmas shopping! This is an easy stroll, mainly on towpaths, looking at Holy Brook, Kennet Wharfs, The Abbey, The Prison, Blake's Lock, Brunel's bridge, The Thames, Nature Reserve, the latest Thames crossing & The Forbury Gardens.
