Thursday 1st February 10:30, 4 miles: An easy winter walk around Evendons Lane and Sand Martins Golf Club. No hills or stiles and will be taken at a pace to suit those present (under 3 miles an hour!). Start: SU797668 CP at Scout Hut, Redlands Farm Park, Evendons Lane, Wokingham. RG41 4EH. Thursday 1st February 10:00, 6.8 miles: Central Windsor Great Park. No stiles; grass and park roads. Toilets and coffee stall available at banana break. Sunday 4th February 10:30, 5½ miles: Explore the woods and commons of the southern Chilterns from Peppard Common with a hidden hill fort to find. Total ascent/ descent about 300 ft. Tuesday 6th February 10:00, 12½ miles: Flat winter tramp from Maidenhead Thicket to Waltham St Lawrence and back via Burchett's Green. Sunday 18th February 10:00, 5 miles: Visit the unexpected world of Lightwater. This will be a walk around the Country Park and the other woodland areas in the vicinity. Included will be a short climb to the top of High Curley Hill with its excellent views over towards London. Start: SU918620 The furthest Car Parking area into Lightwater Country Park. Sunday 18th February 10:00, 12 miles: Join us for a moderate figure of 8 walk, first north from Henley along the Thames path to Aston, through the deer park to Remenham Hill. Lunch by the river in Henley and then south along the Thames path to the edge of Shiplake, returning to Henley via Harpsden. Thursday 22nd February 10:30, 6.3 miles: Oak trees for Trafalgar & one of the oldest cricket grounds, an undulating walk from Hartley Wintney. Start: SU768570 After entering Hartley Wintney on the A30 going West, turn right into Monachus Lane at the sign for Doctors Surgery and park in the Car Park at the end of this short lane. Sunday 25th February 10:00, 5½ miles: Ufton Green and Aldermaston Wharf. A walk across fields to Padworth returning along the Kennet and Avon Canal. Start: SU627692 CP at Tyle Mill Bridge, RG7 4BS. Tuesday 27th February 10:00, 11 miles: As the days get longer, explore your local area visiting the Beech Hill Church Café, treading the Devil's Highway and then around the Roman Town at Silchester. Mortimer, Wheat's Farm, Great Park Farm, through Beech Hill beyond the church, sharp right to Cannon Bridge, along to Fair Cross, Devil's Highway to beyond Butler's Land's Copse, Brickledon's Farm, Clappers Farm, Manor Farm around fort wall, Stone Hill. Thursday 1st March 10:30, 6.3 miles: A scenic walk, beginning with a steep descent, through rolling countryside and woodland from Russell's Water Common and through the nature reserve. Sunday 4th March 10:00, 6 miles: Hurst Village & Loddon River Walk. A circular 6-mile walk from Hurst, around Dinton Pastures, past Sandford Mill, along the river Loddon to Whistley Bridge and back to Hurst along Hogmore Lane. Tuesday 6th March 10:00, 11 miles: Circumnavigate Stoke Row, then Checkendon, Well Place, Hailey, (Crowmarsh), Nuffield, Howberrywood, Stoke Row, with a mix of Woods and open fields and a few climbs. Thursday 8th March 10:30, 4½ miles: Marlow to Temple lock and back, along the Thames Path. Skirt nice properties to Court Gardens. Inland to Grounds Farm and Temple Lock.Back along the Thames Path. Thursday 8th March 10:30, 6 miles: Spring is on its way ! Please join me for a walk through ancient woodlands with distant views of the Thames . Circular walk around Crazies Hill with one fairly steep ascent . Start: SU800809 The Horns Public House at Crazies Hill. Sunday 11th March 10:00, 15½ miles: Mostly flat going across the West Berks Downs and taking in some of the Thames and Ridgeway Paths via Aldworth and Ashampstead.churches. Assistance dogs ONLY. Thursday 15th March 10:30, 5 miles: Goring Gap, with superb views and river vistas. A linear walk along the Thames Path from Whitchurch to Goring, where we will catch the train back to Pangbourne (fare £2.70). Then across the toll bridge and back to the cars. Sunday 18th March 10:00, 6 miles: A lovely walk through Sulham woods, across fields to Tilehurst, past the dovecote tower and into Sulham, returning by the river Pang. Tuesday 20th March 10:00, 12½ miles: A local walk exploring the lovely Berkshire and Hampshire countryside. We will proceed through the Finchampstead Ridges and then walk down to the Blackwater river and follow the Three Castles Trail for a while. We will then enter the Bramshill estate and walk through the plantation until arriving back the Blackwater river. From the New Mill ford we will then walk back through the village of Finchampstead and into Simons Wood to be reunited with our cars. Thursday 22nd March 10:30, 6 miles: Thames path, Little Marlow, Bloom Wood and the Spade Oak nature reserve. One fairly gentle ascent rewarded with views across the Thames valley. Sunday 8th April 10:30, 5 miles: Rose Lane and Culham Farms. Farm tracks, country lanes, a mausoleum, the Thames, one steep hill, white deer, and to finish off the Horns Public House. Tuesday 17th April 10:00, 13 miles: A rolling romp through lovely spring-awakened woodland and fields north from Peppard Common. Passing through Rotherfield Greys, touching Bix and English Farm, then skirting Stoke Row before returning through Greatbottom Wood. Sunday 22nd April 10:30, 5½ miles: Exploring Aldworth. Heading north-west from the Bell Inn, towards Lowbury Hill taking in great views and exploring the paths round about. Fairly steep in parts.
