An excellent multi-activity centre in the Lake District, highly recommended by the Loddon Valley Group, offering 19 single and 14 twin-bedded accommodation.

Glen Islay Guest House, Ventnor, Isle of Wight

This  very quiet and comfortable place to stay is run by two keen ramblers - Laura James and Terry Carruthers. Terry also runs I.W.E. Tours that offers rambling 'expeditions' to unusual places. Recommended by Ian & Tessa Mackenzie.
